What tools are not allowed in LKQ? ›

For traditional DIY used auto parts customers: Regarding the assistance we do provide - all vehicles on display are elevated for you. We supply an A-Frame and Hoist to assist you in the removal of an engine or a transmission. We also will provide a lift to help you move the engine or transmission to the exit.

Most junkyards require you to wear close toed shoes when you pick your own auto parts. Ideally, you should also wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants, gloves, and eye protectors.

Pull-A-Part accepts cash and major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover) as forms of payment. Pull-A-Part does not accept business or personal checks at this time.

You'll need appropriate basic hand tools like spanners, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers and a breaker bar. An impact gun (air or electric) can really make things easier, although there might not be much room to use it in a lot of cases. Also be sure to always use appropriate sockets with your gun.
