This past Saturday our sixth radar in the Lonestar state was lifted atop the roof of Texas A&M's David G. Eller Oceanography & Meteorology Building in an epic way! The building stands as the tallest on the campus at a towering 15 stories high. Due to the height of the building, this Climavision system marks the first to be lifted by helicopter. We are looking forward to data flowing soon and getting it in the hands of federal partners, local media, and of course, the Texas A&M Atmospheric Science program.Check out the views from Saturday's unique lift:#Partnership #RemoteSensing #WeatherTech

Earlier this month our Media Sales Executive, Eric Jean, had the honor of presenting about our supplemental radar network at the American Meteorological Society's 51st Conference on Broadcast Meteorology in Myrtle Beach, SC! Eric's insightful presentation discussed how our data was pivotal for southeast Louisiana during the NEXRAD relocation from Slidell to Hammond.Given the competitive broadcast media landscape, outpacing other stations in the market for viewership is critical for strength and stability in revenue. With weather consistently a leading factor in station ratings, stations rely on weather teams to drive audience engagement and reliability. At Climavision, our media partners differentiate from their competition by taking our supplemental radar data on air, like our southeast Louisiana partners at WAFB 9 News, providing the most clear and accurate street-level weather picture for viewers within their domain. Off air, stations can utilize our revolutionary forecast data to drive accuracy in their outlooks.Read more in this week's blog post about how your weather team can level-up with Climavision's Radar-as-a-Service and precision forecasting options: https://hubs.la/Q02DCfWT0#BroadcastMedia #Radar #WeatherTech

Our CEO, Chris Goode, recently had the opportunity to be a guest on the Fox 12 First Alert Weather Podcast to chat with Chief Meteorologist Mark Nelsen and Meteorologist Katie Zuniga! The three talked all things supplemental radar and forecasting on the podcast's 105th episode. While Portland, Oregon, home to Fox 12, is covered by the KRTX radar, much of the rest of the state lacks any radar coverage. Listen in to this insightful conversation and learn more about how we are filling radar gaps like those in Oregon!https://hubs.la/Q02DrjzJ0#Podcast #WeatherTechnology #Forecasting

Yesterday our team was in College Station, Texas for our media day with our newest university partners, Texas A&M! We had the honor of sharing more about our partnership and mission to cover low-level weather observation gaps with press covering the event. Our partnership with the university will provide Atmospheric Science students with a hands-on learning and research experience using our proprietary radar data. The TAMU Emergency Management department will also have access to the real-time data for operational use. We look forward to sharing more about our work with Aggie students when our radar is officially online after installation is complete. https://hubs.la/Q02CQX690#RemoteSensing #Partnership #WeatherTech

TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT... ENERGY DEMAND SOARS Temperatures are trending well above average across portions of the Midwest and east coast for the latter portion of the week. With triple digit heat on tap for the Midwest and 90+ degree high temperatures for the eastern seaboard, energy providers can anticipate demand skyrocketing. On Wednesday PJM released a Hot Weather Alert stating, "as of 9 a.m. Eastern on June 12, PJM’s forecasted peak for June 13 is approximately 130,000 MW." Our Horizon AI Global forecast has been signaling for above average temperatures across PJMs territory for well over 10 days, whereas Government global models failed to provide such an early and clear signal. This is a result of the proprietary data and assimilation techniques we utilize with our Horizon AI suite of forecasting solutions, which yields better handling of large-scale pattern evolutions. Energy traders are provided with the clarity and accuracy to understand the balance of supply and demand for short-term positions, protecting assets and keeping users HVAC units running.
